Any skinny fatties using kettlebells?

I have just acquired some for Christmas, an 8kg one which I can barely manoeuvre and a smaller one.
Was thinking of getting a dvd as I don't really know what to do with them.
Legs and backside are a disaster area so I'm really hoping I can tone up.

What is a skinny fattie? Confused

I had four weeks with a PT showing me the technique and correct stance and positioning to swing them in order to get results and not injure yourself. There must be something on you tube I would imagine, apparently kettle bell swinging is vet effective but you must use heavy weights as soon as the weight is ok it's time to go up at least 1kgs

I'd say an 8kg one is way too heavy to start with. 4kg woul be better. Google kettlercise and see if you ave classes in your area. Great cardio workout.

IslaValargeone · 29/12/2012 16:36

There are no classes near me unfortunately.
The smaller one I have is 4kg which is much more manageable. I shall have to get a dvd as I really don't know what to do with it.

I don't know what a skinny fatty is, but I recommend the Kettlercise DVD.

Thanks Ineed, Where have you found most benefit?
I am lean top half and stomach, but below waist is not pretty.

I haben't done it for a while (DS was born in October Smile) but it was a great overall workout. I felt very fit and strong.
