always hungry when dieting?

I'm desperately trying to lose 2 stone by the summer (still haven't shifted baby weight and dd now 3!) but find dieting soooo hard - I feel so hungry that i get headaches or feel really weak in the middle of the morning or afternoon if I don't have a snack and in the evenings just feel hungry all the time - I know I am weak willed and can't stick to diets but I also feel sometimes I might not be safe to take the kids out and about if I don't eat enough to stop feeling so weak! Anyone else have this? I go to the gym a lot so I certainly get enough exercise!

Are you doing a particular diet thirtysomething? If so, I suggest trying a different one which works in a different way.

I tried Atkins and it made me feel very poorly. My body needed some carbs to keep my blood sugar high enough. I had terrible headaches all the time. I am following WW points now and am feeling fine on it.

Maybe you are trying to eat too little to start with? You need to sit down and work out exactly what you are eating and if it is 'good' food. You may simply be not having enough food.

Have a look at the slimming world thread, on slimming world there are loads of 'free foods' such as pasta rice potatoes that you can each as much as you want of, honestly!

Oh dear - I sound like an advert, and if its so easy why can't I shift the two stone that I've been trying to shift all year?

Look at the Big mommas thread too - various iets being used there.

I'm doing WW. Typical day this week:

Breakfast - Ready Brek or 2 slices of WW toast
Lunch - seafood salad
Dinner - Pasta and roasted vegetable & tomato sauce; sausage and mash; fish, jacke potato and veg; etc.
Snack - don't usually need to but could have fruit or veg (carrot sticks, etc.) or olives, something like that
