I have just realised that I am overwieght (see my other thread) and I am now finding my size 12/14 clothes too tight. Agggrrrr!

I want to start slimming now but I alos want to enjoy Christmas. So today I went to the gym, I ate: breakfast; 2 boiled eggs, lunch; brocilli and stilton soup with apple and cheese, Tea: vegetables, tofu and chicken baked with olive oil and curry power with lentil dahl.

I want to do low carb not no carb but this is the worst time of year to diet right?

This is all about your mindset.

For me < currently 8 stone 13, 5 ft 4, size 8/10 > I have managed to view christmas in terms of one meal. So, it doesn't have to be a two week frenzy of Quality street, mince pies and trifle.

Try and keep things as normal and eat normally. Allow for a treat or two on Christmas day as well as your dinner and then immediately try and cut back on Boxing day
