How long ago did you go to the LL group?

How much did you pay per week?

Are the products nice?

What did you like and what didn't you like about the LL programme?

Would you go back to the same group/same leader if you need to?

Anything you can tell me I will be grateful. :)

Was told tonight that the counselling is £15 per week. In total per week inclusive of four products per day, and counselling £72.

Not definate fact but a good guide I think.

How long ago did you go to the LL group?

I went for three months. Stopped a couple of weeks ago.

How much did you pay per week?

Usually came to around £75, for the food and the meeting, plus drinks mixes etc.

Are the products nice?

I started off liking them all, but ended up just having chocolate bars and shakes and an occasional carbonara. Your tastes tend to change during the programme I think. I couldn't face any more of the porridge but some loved it.

What did you like and what didn't you like about the LL programme?

I absolutely loved how fast the weight came up. It was like non-invasive liposuction! you could literally see it falling off each month, shape-changing. I also liked the group support which really helps remotivate you in dark times. And I didn't find the anti-social not eating thing too bad at all. It was fine just having fizzy water and enjoying things other than eating! What I didn't like as time went on was a more general sense of deprivation. I felt like there was no way out of the programme apart from soldiering on till I hit my target and then going through the management stage. I felt a bit trapped by it, I guess, because I knew that if I said I wanted to quit, i'd end up being remotivated! which is kind of a good thing, but also did my head in a bit because it's not like I had some huge problem with food. I'd just over-eaten by a bit too much for a long time, so when I got back to an okay weight, I felt like LL was then overly drastic. But if you do have big issues that really need addressing, it's probably a good thing that they keep you focused till you see it through.

Would you go back to the same group/same leader if you need to?

Yep, he was great and the group was lovely, but I would hope not to get that big again and to be able to manage my weight through sensible eating and exercise (famous last words!!!).

So, on balance, no regrets whatsoever. It's been an awesome kickstart for a new me and really changed my thinking about my relationship with food. But it is pricey and hardcore, so do think it through and if you're going to do it, be committed... till you're significantly lighter at least! Are you going to do it??
