Low carbing and 5:2 fasting...can you do both?

I have been low carbing for just over a month and although I'm really happy with the results, I'm intrigued with the fasting idea. (for health benefits as well as weight loss)

So is it possible to do both along side each other or do they contradict each other?

TIA

Intermittent fasting actually easier with low carb. You're eating plenty of fat and moderate protein, both of which are very sating to the appetite, so you don't get the same hunger pangs you would when counting calories/ eating low fat. Plus being in ketosis suppresses hunger.

Have a look at the Marks Daily Apple blog which has lots of info on IF. He actually says you shouldn't fast unless your body is burning fat already, which supports 5:2 and low carb.
