Have been looking at this diet/ health kick for a few weeks, and been googling like mad. but can find very few stories about the actual weight loss people get?? i want to do this diet for many reasons, but i do need to lose 2 stone as well??

or is it just a fad?

I have. Started on 10 Aug, 6lb off in 3 weeks. Due to weigh again tmw.

Marking my place. Been on it a week and lost 3lbs.

I haven't but my weight is low anyway. Dh has lost 2-3kg. We've been doing it for 3 weeks. We'd like to see the health benefits associated with fasting - especially the decreased risk of cancer and dementia. I run and my speed has increased dramatically since I've been fasting, maybe a coincidence, but there are those in the body building community who fast to improve muscle growth.

thank you for replying. so have you all just stuck to 500cals 2 days a week, then eating normally the rest of the time?

See the thread 5:2.

Plenty of us have lost Smile

At my two-week weigh-in I had lost over 7lbs. Have lost a bit more but am sticking to my weekly weigh-in for making official declarations. Grin Weight does shift a lb or two depending on eating days, fasting days etc.

I'm doing 4:3, though.

Definitely join the other thread. There are loads of people posting, and most have only just started, so are asking the same questions. :)
