Giving up booze to help weight loss Eek!!

So I'm finally facing facts and have decided if I'm serious about losing a bit of weight I'm going to have to give up wine!! I stick to my calorie goal and exercise well all week, and then Friday comes round and it all goes out the window as I crack open the wine (which then leads to snacking too), and then Saturday I eat more because I'm a bit hung-over, and have more wine and snacks on a Saturday, and yet more recovery eating on a Sunday! It's obviously the reason why I can't lose these last 7lbs, and yet I've been reluctant to give it up before now.

Anyone else fancy joining me in giving up booze to help weight-loss? It seems easy enough today because I drank too much last night, but I'm sure some support will be required later in the week when the vino is calling...

I stopped the wine 4 weeks ago. Use to be half a bottle every night... Which led to the munchies.. Cheese, crisps, choc etc.

Feel so much better for it, and lost 8lbs so far :-)

I have been drinking slimline tonic and pretending it has vodka in it !
Good luck.. You CAN do it

Wow well done! My friend has recently lost about 10lbs giving up wine in the evenings too. Have you been tempted at all over the 4 weeks?

No not tempted and have a lot more energy in the evenings now ;-)

Wasn't even remotely tempted when DH offered me a vino last night Smile
