I have signed up and I am using the app on my mobile phone, I have to say I am really impressed - I payed for the same service about 3 years ago and this is just as good. I just wondered about the calorie breakdown at the bottom of the page. My carb intake is a lot higher than protein intake, should it be the other way around? The sight is great for calories but doesnt say much about how I should modify my diet.

I've just downloaded this now and will feed back - it looks good.

Personally my diet is always higher in carbs and I wouldn't have it any other way! It depends what work for you. Some people favour high protein - I definitely don't.

Im veggie so I always find protein a bit of a challenge - im not a 'good' veggie really.

I'm veggie too! Do you eat plenty of pulses? They're absolutely your best bet and so good for you.

Mamabear (feel like I'm stalking you now after the Shred thread!)
Have you tried quorn? I'm a veggie and quorn is a total staple for me, and a fantastic way to get protein (and fibre). Can't recommend it highly enough...

Would also recommend Linda McCartney sausages, just because they taste fab, best veggie sausage I've had by far.

I eat lots of quorn and love it, but I am also in love with bread and I think that is my downfall! Trying to cut right down so have replaced my morning toast with shredded wheat. When I was pregnant cereal made me feel sick so I had toast instead and it has become a bit of a habit! danebury - what do you do with pulses? I have had them in a stew but that is it!
I am loving the barcode scanner on the myfatsecret app for my phone - makes calorie control much easier!

Gosh, what don't I do with pulses?

Falafel
Beanburgers (we like inside out burgers - with a cube of mozzarella inside!)
Chilli
Chickpea cutlets
Kidney bean balls
Curries
Dals
Pilaf-type things
Salads
Dips

Etc
