Ok so the diet is in hand but now I need to tone up. I'm on the v large side and everything is saggy and floppy. I need to tone up all over but need to do stomach, legs and arms in particular. What exercises, gym work out, classes do you recommend/ credit with helping you to look great?

Its our 10th anniversary in 10 weeks and I'd really like to see a difference wear something lovely then

Have you got a Zumba class near you? If you like dancing they are great fun. I find running great for the tummy and legs and swimming too, plus the latter does the arms.

I do a whole range of stuff including;

Weights based exercises (machines, trx and free weights) at the gym as well as cardio there (rower & exercise bike) - usually attend the gym 4 or 5 times a week.

I also cycle a fair amount, do simple weights stuff at home and love my hula hoop for the odd 5 minutes!

I don't do classes except spinning and trx/kettlebells very occasionally (I lack sufficient coordination for Zumba, step etc.)

My programme was devised by a PT and I meet with him weekly for 30 minutes solely for the weights stuff so he can refine the programme for the next 7 days.

I've tried the Shred but my knees didn't like it.

My arms & legs look good but abs are still a work in progress even with a BMI of 20.4.

I found swimming the best exercise for toning up as it works the whole body. I also do things like push ups, squats [with weights], crunches etc.

weights here, free weights. If you go to a gym as an instructor to show you a few exercises.

failing that, body weight resistance stuff you can do at home, such as tummy crunches, push ups, squats and lunges, tricep dips and dorsal raises.

you should notice a difference in 2-3 weeks of doing this maybe 4 times a week? Only 20 mins day if you do yourself a little routine. Good Luck!
