I was ordering a couple of books from Amazon anyway so is it worth me buying the John Briffa book. Will I learn anything new. thanks!

Yes, definitely.

Will you learn anything new? Probably! It debunks a lot of 'healthy eating' myths, so unless you're well versed in the principles of low-carb/paleo eating already, be prepared to have your assumptions well and truly challenged...

Thanks very much teandthorazine! I'd not heard of the paleo eating so that's something new. I want to get away from this special low calorie food as I don't think it's basically a good thing. Ordering it now!

Yes, it's great! Tells you so much about ways of eating to avoid diabetes, heart disease, cholesterol issues etc.

You're absolutely right that low-cal isn't a good thing at all - the Briffa book will explain exactly why and give you a much healthier and more sustainable way to eat. Good luck!
