eating approx 1500-1800 per day, active job on feet all day and have taken to gardening in evenings as exercise.

realise before I was doing more like 2500-3000 per day. lost a couple of pounds since the weekend.

I am not hungry, had prawn & avocado salad for dinner, but want to stuff several slices of cheese and some biscuits followed by a chocolate dessert - I will not sucumb.

There is a dress in my wardrobe I'm too fat for and I want to wear it

Sounds like a really good plan.

Drink loads of water? It really does stop hunger and I find half the time when I'm craving a food, especially a salty one, it turns out to be thirst, not hunger. A big glass of water kills the craving.

Also, there's a lot to be said for giving up bread and wheat. It seems to puff up the body and it really brings on cravings. If I have a breakfast without wheat, I'm never hungry before lunch. With wheat based foods I'm feeling peckish by mid morning even if it was a bigger breakfast. No idea why. (If anyone knows, I'd love to find out.)
