So I really want to join a gym. To get exercise. To get out of the house. Mainly exercise. Found one I like. Had a trial session there. Ds ok in creche.

But I keep putting off joining, cos I'm worried he'll go to the creche 1 time & thereafter scream & cry & refuse...

He's 2y 3m. He's my youngest. I had (different) gym membership before and left my other 2 without problems in creche, but somehow convinced ds3 will kick off. He's a very - ahem- strong personality. Going throught the negative 'no' phase now. We recently went on holiday with great kids' club/childcare & he went once & then screamed & reused to go again, tho he would go on the evening when dh took him down & he was with his brothers.

I so want to join the gym, but don't want to fork out loads & then not be able to go because of ds.

I waffled on loads. Does anyone else have this problem with their lo?

why not take him past it, is it visible from the gym foyers, and if he seems keen tell him "no, not today" and then next time you take him to the gym he'll make a bee line for it?

Of course if small boy wrangling were that easy none of us would drink would we, but you know what I mean
