Quitting Smoking and Snacking. Please Help!

I gave up smoking in October last year with the help of champix, but relapsed after six months. I re committed this month and decided to go cold turkey, no drugs, nrt, nothing. I'm doing quite well haven't smoked for three days now and the will power seems to be holding out but, I think I'm snacking far too much to stave off those cravings.

Can anybody give advice on a way to keep snacking (so I don't give into cravings) but in a healthy way. I put on a lot of weight after my DS was born and have been trying to lose it. I don't want to undo all that hard work!

Ant advice?

I would say try and deal with the smoking first, by whatever method. Once you have cracked that try to repair the damage which smoking has done to you by health diet and exercise - bu don't try to do it all at once, it's too hard.

I quit last September (after 25 years), I put on a stone over the next 9 months but I also started exercising and trying to get my lungs working well. I've lost my stone now and I feel great.

Good luck, it is so so worth it.

Thanks Omletta very encouraging info. I think I will do just that and try not to worry too much about the weight gain!
