High fibre is my fave.

All bran.

Lentil soup.

Baked potatoes.

If it's brown, get it down :)

eat some protein every time you eat ANYTHING, so for e.g. if you have a few grapes as a snack have a few nuts too, veg soup - sprinkle some cheese, sliced almonds or cream on.

Keeps you full and snacking down

TwinkleToesForever · 02/08/2012 20:21

no wine

lots of black coffee

no carbs after 6pm

I lost 2 1/2 stone of baby weight like this recently but boy was it hard!

stargirl1701 · 02/08/2012 20:22

At last, a diet that encourages me to eat more chocolate ;-)

anchor9 · 11/07/2017 12:47

Stabilise your blood sugar - protein with anything that will give you a spike. No sweetened drinks.

Don't cut carbs but limit them. If im not dieting i eat too many carbs, toast for breakfast, sandwich lunch, more carbs for dinner. I tend to only have one or two meals with carbs in them if im dieting. Exercise min 4 times a week always helps. Track with my fitness pal. Walk everywhere when you can.

How does drinking water help you lose weight?

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying · 11/07/2017 17:13

Go shopping when you've eaten, or order online. Plan your meals. Don't buy crap.

revolution909 · 11/07/2017 17:15

About those pills , I took them once they made me very anxious (and I think they're illegal over here!)

BitOutOfPractice · 11/07/2017 17:21

Track everything you eat (anothe MyFitnessPal fan)

Reduced carbs (I haven't cut them out completely)

Exercise hard 5times a week

Walk as much as you can

Not too much booze

Basically, eat less, move more.

revolution909 · 11/07/2017 17:22

Count calories, exercise and have cheat days. It's all about the calorie deficit

oohloolala · 11/07/2017 17:24

Low carb works for some people but not everyone. It depend on the person, carbs have got a bad rep but some people can lose weight fine eating carbs. I'd just say eat whole foods, lots of veg and stay active. After eating well for a while hopefully you'll find you start to crave healthy food more.

toastyarmadillo · 11/07/2017 17:40

Swap carbs for veggies, for example pasta gets swapped for cougette noodles, rice for cauliflower rice. Increase your activity, try doing ten minutes first thing to boost your heart rate. It will kick start your metabolism for the day. Ditch sugary drinks and sugar in your tea, it all adds up.
