Wii fit

We already have a wii, which is mostly used for just dance. I have been wanting to try the wii fit for a while, and bought it for myself yesterday as a "reward" for the weight I've lost over the past month. :)

I know that I need to keep watching my diet carefully and doing the other exercise that I'm doing, and this is really a fun extra, but just wondered if anyone had used a wii fit to support their weight loss, and if so, if they might have any tips for a beginner like me.

Can't wait to get on it, but am dreading seeing my wii fitness "age" as I'm sure it will be horrendous... Blush

HI ya, ive been using the wii fit since christmas, i enjoy it to play with the children and getting to do exercise together, but it doent really build a sweat if you know what i mean.
Does help with toning and muscle building...the muscle exercises, yoga and the hulahoop chalanges work best for that.

I sometimes do a little of it in the evening.

I actually think just dance works better as a weight loss tool

but in my opinion anything is better than sitting down , so its got to be good

Thank you for the response. We have the just dance games, and they definitely make me sweat! Grin Maybe I'll mostly use the wii fit for toning then, and stick to JD for the aerobic bits. And of course, I will do "proper" exercise as well!

lol of course.
Just dance is also more fun,
but for peeople like me who would make a fool out of her self, enjoys doing the yoga, so good to do it in own home
there is another one that is good we bought it on amazon last year - cant remeber the name of it though. but it has like a little web cam on it that films you doing theexercise, then tells you what your doing wrong - good for toning again - and it was only £10 if i remem, ber

I found it was very good for monitoring and getting me going for that 10 minutes in the morning. I usually did a mix of strength and yoga, with some step as well.

I used to do wii fit when I first started to lose weight. I would do a routine of 30-60 minutes, of the aerobic and muscle building exercises.
I found it great for building up my cardio and self confidence, to the point I was ready to re start swimming and do other things.
I don't really do it now as I find it too easy, but I still weigh myself on the board. It records your weight and BMI at the same time.
