On a budget? Did low carb once many years ago but could afford to spend loads then. Skint now, so can't afford to buy things that cost the earth!

I've already lost 3.5 stone very very very gradually since having DS 18 months ago, but the last stone doesn't want to shift, is low carb the best way to do it? I've lost the rest just by cutting cakes etc and watching portion size Smile

You can definitely do low carb on a budget. First off you'll be saving by not buying the junk crap! But there are plenty of decent low carb foods - eggs, tinned fish, the cheaper, fattier cuts of meat are great for low carb. And don't forget your veg - leafy green veg (spinach, kale, cabbage, salad veg) is all pretty cheap.

Lidl and Aldi are fantastic for low carb foods (cheese, meats, eggs, veg) so give them a try if you haven't already!

Thanks Tea , is there anywhere online I can get low carb recipes without having to pay a subscription/buy a book? Smile

I agree this is the problem with low carb. But you could stew using chicken thighs, stewing beef, shoulder of lamb. Value frozen fish fillets.

One meal could be omlette packed with onion, tuna and cheese.
Lots of casserole/stew would be ok.
