hmm seem to have finally spotted a pattern and would welcome views.
A couple of years ago I needed to lose a stone and a half, so cut out carbs, and then co-incidntally had a sore throat for several weeks so could not drink alcohol as hurt my throat, lost weight, all well.
Since then I have kept to reduced carbs - ie no bread, only minimal pasta and rice, no puddings or sweets, but continuing to drink alcohol.
About half a stone has crept back which i now need to lose.
Cut the carbs further, lots more exercise, no weight loss.
Then this week have been fed up with the weather, work etc and so have had some carbs, small amount of pasta, baked potato etc and a couple of cakes. However have limited alcohol to one glass of wine a day, and a couple of days none.
And today. weighing myself, and resigned to weight gain due to the carbs - have lost 2 pounds [puzzled]
so...is the secret to cut alcohol carbs, and the other carbs are not so evil after all?
