Slimfast

I bought 2 tins of Slimfast powder in Asda for £9, this contains 24 meal replacements, so I'm going to try to stick to it for 12 days to kickstart weight loss. Has anyone tried Slimfast, what results did you get? I'm 5'4" and weigh 10st 4lbs, I would like to lose a stone before my holiday in September.

I've done slimfast a few times to kick start me.....I wouldnt do it till September personally but you could easily shift half a stone and then move onto a different diet. Slimfast is good as a quick fix, kick start etc but long term it's not ideal.

I'm only going to do it for 12 days, then see if my holiday dresses fit. Will eat sensibly after that. I have tried cutting down recently but have been struggling, so thought this would be easier because I don't need to think about what to eat.

I really like the meal replacement bars....the slim fast ones are really expensive so I buy the tesco ones, exactly the same but a lot cheaper. When on sf I used to have a meal replacement bar for b/fast and a shake with some fruit for lunch and then a low cal dinner....I couldnt just have 3 shakes a day, too depressing!

I'm having a banana first thing in the morning, my breakfast shake at 10:30, lunch shake at 14:00, another piece of fruit at 16:00, then a sensible dinner in the evening, chicken & salad, fish & veg. It's only day 2, so I will look for the bars in Tesco as I'm sure to get bored very soon.

axure are you starving hungry on it or not too bad?! I've put on a few lbs whilst on holiday and want to shift about 7lbs...I've started exercising but could do with something to give me a kick start, how are you finding it?

axure · 17/07/2012 16:30

pinkCustard well it's only day 2 and my tummy is rumbling a bit, but that's because I've been over-indulging too much lately, so I'm used to picking whenever I feel like it. Going to tough it out and will Hopefully get used to having less in my stomach.

I'm drinking a 2 litre bottle of fizzy mineral water during the day and also cups of black coffee in the morning and peppermint tea in the evening. I'm peeing like a Grand National winner!

I love the coffee lattee shake....the made up shakes are much much nicer than the power ones and are often on offer in savers, tesco etc etc.

I also love fizzy water :)
