Low Carb Bootcamp Bonanza Challenge - The Spreadsheet of Marvellousness

Here it is!

Thanks to FiddleDeFat for organising the spreadsheet.

Add yourself and put your starting weight in for today (don't touch any of the blue columns!)

Thankfully the scales have moved down again for me - only by a tiny amount, but I'm now at my lowest weight! Hopefully the stickiness of the last few weeks is now over. I'm targeting a 4lb weight loss over the next two weeks - I hope that's achievable. That would take me within a couple of pounds of my target of 9 stone 7.

178.4lb this week so have got rid of my holiday weight! Am not going to BBC but will be around on the thread and I wish everyone luck.

BIWI · 16/07/2012 08:53

Well done!

Good for you Ilovemyteddy - I haven't lost mine yet. Still slightly up from a couple of weeks ago at 194.4lbs. Target for the next 2 weeks is just anything downwards.

WillieWaggledagger · 16/07/2012 09:07

i have stayed the same more or less for a few weeks now so i think i need this, and it will take me to just before going on holiday too.

biwi i'm stuck at a similar weight as you were, so maybe it is a sticking point! however I'm a few inches taller so it may be that actually this is my natural weight - i'll assess after these two weeks

teaandthorazine · 16/07/2012 09:19

I've put on a pound but that's ok considering I've fallen face-first into chocolate several times this week.

Given that I'm now within 4lbs of my goal (and I'm going on holiday next week) I'm probably not going to BBC. But I love this WOE and really felt rubbish eating choc and crisps and bread and so on, so will still remain pretty strict. I'll probably be eating some fruit though (berries only Smile)

BIWI · 16/07/2012 09:20

I think there are definitely sticking points, Willie - although I have absolutely no idea why it should be so.

Those of you who aren't BBCing - you're not going to desert the chat threads are you? [paranoid and needy face]

OP posts:
Ilovemyteddy · 16/07/2012 09:31

Definitely not going to desert the chat threads BIWI . I'm off on another holiday at the end of August and want to be 168lb so I need to be kept in line!! Tea I felt rubbish too after eating bread and a couple of desserts on hol so this is definitely the WOE for me. Have got loads of energy atm which is a good thing as my new job requires loads of energy Grin

RadioSilence · 16/07/2012 09:34

I am now at a point where I intend to maintain rather than lose so it seems best to remove me from the spreadsheet so I don't skew the weight loss average for everyone.

I will still be on the threads though, even though I plan to be less hardcore, and have to say that without BIWI I would never have tried low carbing but it has turned out to be the way of eating I have been looking for all my life.

The whole "BIWI is boss" thing was very much tongue in cheek as far as I am concerned and I never took it as an attempt by her to set herself up as a guru on the subject. What the threads did provide was guidance and support from others in the same boat. I would never have joined in with the other low carbing threads because it seemed to me to be like interrupting an ongoing conversation, whereas this one let us all be part of it from the start.

BIWI these are for you, and I am sorry you found yourself on the receiving end of some wholly unwarranted vitriol Thanks

Ilovemyteddy · 16/07/2012 09:46

Great post, RadioSilence. Good luck with maintenance.

BIWI · 16/07/2012 09:48

Thanks, Radio.

FiddleDeFat · 16/07/2012 09:48

I have put you in the Archive section of the spreadsheet RadioSilence. So all your stats are still available and I've put a wee comment to say you have met your target weight. Well done!

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 16/07/2012 10:05

10 stone 9! Yay! And that's despite going to a funeral on Wed and eating pasta, sandwiches, cake and fish and chips! Still a long way to go, but it's coming off. My BBC goal is to be 10 stone 5 in 2 weeks. I hope that's achievable.

Well done RadioSilence for meeting your target weight!

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 16/07/2012 10:08

Have just realised that 10 stone 5 would be a stone off since I started this WOE, so it makes a good goal.

SharonGless · 16/07/2012 10:48

1lb off this week so 4lbs to go to target weight in next two weeks of Bbc- bring it on

MsRinky · 16/07/2012 11:31

I stayed the same this week, which is good after a long weekend away to see my in-laws. Dinners were lasagne, and steak pie, the only vegetables in sight were carrots, beetroot and peas, I had to fend off home-made ginger biscuits every five minutes and I decided that eating a towering piece of jam and cream filled victoria sponge was just easier than upsetting my M-i-L forever by declining. And I was driven to drink.

I don't hold much hope out for next two weeks, have too many social engagements, plus a long weekend away at no doubt wet festival in my also fridgeless camper van. So Bootcamp bonanza not for me - will be chuffed enough if I am still the same two weeks from now. Good luck to the rest of you though.

SpringGoddess · 16/07/2012 11:49

Have a few busy social weeks ahead so I can't join you all this time but good luck with it. I'll be low carbing where I can.

GreenEyesAndHam · 16/07/2012 12:16

Huzzah

After the 2lb gain last week - my first week of 'maintenance' roffle - I've lost 3 this week, putting me a pound under my original target weight.

I've actually decided to revise my target and go for another half stone off (8lb ish). Fear not, I'm not going 'too far', I've not becomes obsessed or owt. I just feel that I could stand to lose a wee bit more, but I'm prepared for this to take a while.

GreenEyesAndHam · 16/07/2012 12:19

Not 8lb ish, 8 STONE ish.

Muppet.

Brilliant to hear that people are reaching their target weights. Bloody well done.

I have 5.75lbs to go to my original target of 9 stone 7. I always said I would aim to get there and then decide if I wanted to go further. Ideally I'd like to be 9 stone, but with all the work I'm doing in the gym, toning up, it could be that 9 stone 7 is OK. Anyway, I'm not trying to look too forward ahead.

OP posts:
TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 16/07/2012 14:51

Oooh, talking of toning up, BIWI, when did you start and how much do you do? I have now lost 16lbs since the week after my baby was born (yay!), and I was wondering about toning. I've still got another stone and a half to go until my goal weight so there will have to be some toning somewhere. I did start Shredding but didn't get any further than Day 5. Any words of wisdom? Can I put off starting for a bit longer or should I be doing some work now?

BIWI · 16/07/2012 16:14

I started at the gym at the beginning of February, and I have two, hour-long sessions with a personal trainer each week. If I have time, which hasn't happened over the last 2-3 weeks, I also go on my own, or to a class (Core Stability).

How long is it since you had your baby? I seem to remember (it was a long time ago - my DC are 20 and 17!) that you're not supposed to do too much too soon.

Personally, if I were you, I'd go to the gym and speak to one of the trainers there and ask their advice.

NigellasGuest · 16/07/2012 16:45

BIWI and WillyWaggle I think I have sort of stuck, as well. But I really don't care. Feeling good! Have had lots of comments to say "you look really well"! which is much better than when I was at my goal weight a year or so ago but having got there by low fat, calorie controlled route. At that time, I do think my face looked a tad haggard, whereas now it is a bit "plumptious". And I didn't get the "you look well" comments then; I just got "you look thin/slim/whatever" "don't lose any more" etc.

I would like to see if I can lose another half to 3/4 of a stone though. Purely because I have some target trousers I'd like to be able to zip up again. But not at the expense of my face! Btw, I am also taking fish oil supplements which are said to help skin.

re the electrolytes issue, I'm sorry I was a catalyst for a major personal attack but I guess that's all been dealt with now (anyone else notice it was Week 13's thread? Cursed)!! - and as a result I'm taking lo-salt with food and have ordered some electrolyte tablets. I feel better again after having the lo-salt, and I have reduced my water intake back down to around 2 - 2 and a half litres per day without missing it too much. That may be right or wrong, I don't know, but 2 litres is better than 1 litre!

Big hug for BIWI from me and everyone else I'm sure Thanks

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 16/07/2012 18:02

Thanks, BIWI. Can't afford or get to a gym except at weekends, sadly - am on SMP and live in the middle of nowhere. Still, a couple of hours a week doesn't sound too bad. I have just started walking the dog again (he's had a broken toe so was off walks for a month) carrying DD in a sling - there must be some resistance work in that! DD is 18 weeks, so I'm probably ok to do exercise. I think I'll start the Shred again because it has lots of weights.

BIWI · 16/07/2012 19:17

I can't really advise re exercise, as I know so little about it Blush hence why I am so dependent on my trainer! But I would have thought starting gradually would be the way to go.

Nigella - lovely to hear the compliments, isn't it? And no worries about the electrolytes issue. Not your fault at all. Re the water thing, if you've lost weight, you don't need to drink as much anyway.
