Excess skin!!!!

I have a lot of weight to lose, but am making good progress. One thing that worries me is that I may end up with loads of excess skin when I get to my target weight. Is there anything I can do as I lose the weight to minimise this, or will I need to just learn to live with it?

I too worry about this. I hope that with moderate exercise I'll be able not to have excess skin but that's what I'm hoping for. I understand it is important to tighten the muscles. It might also work differently for different people.

I've lost over 4stone so fat and the only place I have a little bit of excess skin is the top of my arms. You need to lose it slowly and do lots of exercise to tone the skin up as the fat goes from it.

How old are you all? I have the same concerns.

I'm also worried about this, so thanks waiting, nice to know it's not inevitable. Just need to lose some weight now!

I know that my mum lost her weight and she did have excess skin as she lost 30 kg over some time, now I can't see much of her loose skin and due to her age, she is over 70, she is not really able to do work outs so I'm also hoping that the skin might adjust? Not sure though if that's the explanation :)

Just found this, sounds hopeful:

This looks like temporary measure but can help for special occasions I suppose:
