Has anybody had a go at changing to this way of eating? The 7 day plan, then the 30 days plan? Good for weight loss, meals all the family can eat? Tell me your experiences please.

I need something to give me and DH a kick up the bum but also something that is healthy that I can easily get the kids to eat, DS has food allergies so I already do far too much multiple cooking and do not need to be doing anymore.

Thank you.

I lost 3 stone a few years back doing the Food Doctor principles. I found the 30 day plan too prescriptive but followed the 10 points faithfully and it definitely works. I've been ill for a couple of years and the weight has crept back on so I've just been reading the books again! Go for it!

Got the books from the library today and have started reading through them. It's a really big change which is what I think we need (DH as well). On our hols next week so plenty of time to read through and get organised before we get started.

If you fancy joining me on here I have just started. On day 1 and having read all the principles it does make a lot of sense. And it's just my type of food as well which should make it easier.

I've heard of this, but don't know much about it - what's the basic idea?

There are 10 principles but the food focuses around balancing glucose levels in the body by always having protein in your meal and eating complex carbohydrates so that you avoid energy highs and lows and cravings plus you eat often. Once you are on with the plan the lifelong management is the 80:20 rule, follow it 80% of the time to manage your weight.

I got the books from the library but you can Check out the principles on the food doctor website.
