Great North Run Support Thread

Who else is doing it in the hope of losing weight?
I just registered at the weekend in a desperate bid to lose between a stone to a stone and a half. I'm sick of being flabby and having a post c-section 'overhang'. Everything feels too tight and I hate it.

It doesn't help that for most of my life I've been 'the thin one' and never had to watch my weight - until now.

DH and I are going on holiday the 2 weeks before the Great North Run, so hope to be slightly more comfortable being seen in a swimsuit by then (although miracles will have to happen between then and now!)

Went for first 'run' (mainly walking and jogging!) last night for approx 30 minutes and plan to go again tomorrow.

Who's interested in supporting each other through the training?
