Has anyone lost any weight using SLIM FAST?

I was wondering whether to do it for a week or 2 maybe just to kickstart my weight loss as I am not losing anything at the mo despite trying!

hi

i have been using slim fast for about 3 weeks now but with calorie counting alongside it and i have lost 1st 3lb so far, as long as ou have a sensible meal in the evening it should work as it did for me and i must have tried loads of diets and couldnt stick to anything else

I may give it a go and see how I find it.

Is it easy to stick to? Do you use the milkshakes?
Can you still eat fruit inbetween?

yeah i used the milk shakes, i havent eaten anything inbetween simply because they make you feel really bloated, but i think it would be fine to eat fruit inbetween

Aha, was just thinking the same JG! What worried me was whether or not a shake would fill me up from breakfast time to lunch time. I've just started a diet and it's doing my head in being hungry and that's with eating loads of salad and veg. So what do you do? Shake for b'fasta nd lunch then low fat meal for dinner?

My sister did 4yrs ago, she done it for 3weeks and lost 1st 7lbs but she was 3st over weight so it fell off quickly, slimfast has moved in leaps and bounds since then because you can now have the snack bars and soups and meal bars, when my sis done it, all it was, was a shake in the morning, lunchtime and have your evening meal. Now you can have a shake in the morning, a piece of friut for a snack or a slimfast snackbar and lunch can be a shake or mealbar, then have your 600cal dinner and then you can have another snack like fruit or lowfat youghurt! So i def think it works, on the down side my sis did put weight back on and more, but she got all her weight off about 18m ago and has kept it off

Yeah I have heard many stories where people have lost loads of weight doing it and then as soon as they stop, it all goes back on!

I have decided to try the cereal diet for a week (dont think I will manage 2!) eating crunchy nut cornflakes! I am not expecting miracles (though it would be nice!) but I would like to know what it feels like to lose a couple of pounds. I have a 'do' to go to a week on Sat and dont want to spend the whole evening feeling down about my weight.

I could alternate between it with Slim Fast stuff I guess, but it works out quite expensive.
