curious to know as i have just about every fitness dvd there is and then some....

i was going to the gym and running.
now im just doing dvds at home but im seriously wondering how realistic it is to expect results from a programme thats just 20 mins daily?

im on day 5 today - still on level 1. will up to level 2 at day 10, level 3 at day 20.

im watching what i eat, and have had no weight loss. im loving the fact its just 20 mins out of my day and im finding it very easy to do.

so, did you get results from it?

I didn't measure myself, and being a bit negative I didn't really see it myself straight away. But my dh said he could really notice a difference - especially in my bum ;)

I found it too easy as well. I moved straight to l2 which was also a bit too easy.

In the end I 2 levels back to back or just level 3 plus a run or another workout. There isn't enough cardio at all in the Shred alone for me. It didn't do much for me cardio wise even if I was putting my absolute all into it.

Doing it my way I lost 8lbs and 2 inches from my waist.

Lizzylou · 25/06/2012 18:25

Try using weights in the cardio (you do in level 3). So for for butt kicks, punching and star jumps. That makes a difference imo (thankyou Sazz/Crispy for that tip).
I saw a big difference in a few weeks, particularly once on Level 3.

right. i think ill just switch to level 2 now as im finding level 1 easy. my weights are heavy - at the gym i was lifting fairly big weights (for chest flies i was on 8kg weights, 12kg for chest press, 6kg for should press) anyway, so going down to hand weights feels easy.

I found it near impossible to do everyday and struggled 2 days a week. I think if your used to variations in exercise that it will bore the pants off you after a week or so.

Most people do struggle as its very intensive especially if your overweight and struggle with the energy. It can be very painful for starters too.

I would always recommend mixing exercises to gain the benefit.

If you do half hour plus a good 15mins of stretching (not enough on this vid) everyday then your bound to get the benefit.

Shutupanddrive · 25/06/2012 18:54

I am on day 6 and moved up to level 2 today. Definately move up quicker if your finding level 1 easy

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/06/2012 23:52

moved to level 2 today. i am sceptical on the results front.....but ill see. i dont find it intensive at all tbh - perhaps it is if you dont do any exercise but i run and was going to the gym, and lifting way heavier weights than this.

ill keep trying but i think i might be best doing this on the days i dont run.

well, sceptic or not i have lost 6lbs and the shred in conjunction with some healthy eating seems to be working!

ive gone to level 3 today but i think its actually easier than level 2....whats that about?

I do a fair bit of running so the cardio is fine for me although I don't always do it exactly as I should as I'm protective of my knees on my hard wooden floor. I'm doing it for my arms and abs and they are definitely changing. I've just got to the end of level 2 and lost the DVD. I suspect dd2 who threw out my iPhone cover at the weekend. Fortunately not my phone. I've looked everywhere, given up and ordered a new one from amazon. I do it about 4 times a week.

omletta · 05/07/2012 12:04

I found L3 much easier than L2 as well!

ThatVikRinA22 · 05/07/2012 17:45

im managing it about 2 days out of every 3, i am definitely finding level 3 easier than 2, but today have slightly achey sides and bum so must be using different muscles.....
