Not eating crap

FunnysInLaJardin · 23/06/2012 22:39

so I am doing WW, which leaves me eating the minimum really inc wine. But I am not eating crap i.e. crisps etc after hours. It is a teeny tiny struggle but I have lost 4 pounds this week. I have a LONG way to go and need to loose 4 stone really to get to 9.5/10 st which is what I should be.

Anyway almost just recording this as a log to keep a check on myself.

Provided I avoid crap I will be 10 st in the next year and a half! It's what I used to be before DC! I am currently 13.7.

Good luck Funnys - I am marking a place for myself on thread as I'm trying to do the same. I've been meaning to stop eating so much crap for a while, it's been 4 days do far... and I've slipped up already.

Can I just add that having a skinny dp who can eat what he wants and not put on weight doesn't help matters Angry

I'm having to learn some self control as its unlikely we'll have a house free of crisps, chocolate etc Smile

Should not take a year and a half - you should be there within 6 months.

Lots of thread recently about "have done low fat diet and scales not budgeting" - if not losing average of 1lb a week over a month then need to look at diet and change it.

FunnysInLaJardin · 24/06/2012 13:01

good luck too Ponyo. I have been faffing around with diets for a few years, loosing weight then putting it on again. This time I am determined.

I also did the couch to 5k which showed me what I could achieve with quite a small amount of determination. I just need to apply that mindset to loosing weight. I know ww works for me, so just need to keep it up. I hate eating crap but find it almost addictive.

How did you get on today funnys?

I have had 2 mini muffins but that's it crap wise. Think I'm somewhat addicted to crap too, took dd to soft hell play and realised I would normally have scoffed crisps and fizzy pop plus any choc I shared with dd, managed not to but it made me realise how easily I eat that stuff without thinking about it.

We've done a food shop and bought lots of fruit but no biscuits, crisps etc so now it's just down to my will power and resisting the vending machine at work Grin

FunnysInLaJardin · 24/06/2012 21:26

well done Ponyo, love you name BTW, Ponyo is a big favourite in our house esp the Japanese version.

I did OK today, so far. Stuck to my ww points broadly speaking, a tad extra wine but nothing too bad. We went to soft play today and twas fine. My danger time is after hours when everyone is in bed, then I can eat my body weight in crisps and biscuits. So thats it for me tonight, I have 3 stone to loose........!

and Ponyo I know what you mean about skinny DH. My DH is always around 12 st and slim. He has a very natural self control and I have never seen him binge eat. He hasn't seen me either, but that's because I hide it! But I take him, and DS1 my inspiration. I have to work to be like that, but I can do it. It's just like childbirth or running. You just do it.

Ah thanks, dd loves shouting along to the Japanese version of Ponyo!

Well done too today, sounds good. I can easily eat crap when dd is in bed but have realised recently I don't really miss it if I don't have it.

Well done also on couch to 5k - thats quite an achievement! I tried but am a lazy arse and didn't bother after a few days Blush I like your childbirth and running analogy BUT childbirth was inevitable whereas forcing myself off the settee every night isn't Wink

FunnysInLaJardin · 25/06/2012 22:47

did OK today. No crap and a rubbish 20 min run in the rain! I have worked out I have 35 lbs to loose, so that will take me till next Feb!

Funnys I am doing a quick post to admit to eating a lot of crap yesterday, I think I was on some sort of self sabotage!

Ridiculous really as I didn't need to eat lots, I blame work stress and being a pig Grin

An thinking of downloading an app to help you eat less, I'll let you know if I do it and if it's good... Hope you've done better than me!

BorisJohnsonsHair · 28/06/2012 21:58

Well done on your weight loss OP. Being picky here, but it's LOSE not LOOSE. Please don't be offended, just one of my pet hates (and there are many because I'm a miserable old bag).

FunnysInLaJardin · 28/06/2012 22:06

Thanks Boris for your valuable input.

Ponyo sorry you're struggling. It is hard. I have managed to avoid eating crap so far. Mostly by wobbly my huge belly to remind myself that there are plenty of calories for my body to go at without eating even more!

Boris hope I passed the spelling test. Life is s much more fun knowing folk are keeping a keen check on ones literacy

God yes I could/should use my gut as 'inspiration' to LOOSE a bit of weight (sorry boris couldn't resist Wink) tbh I should get the tape measure out and use that as well as weighing myself.

I can't not buy as the DS's always have stuff in, so I have to train myself to ignore the call of the cupboards.

Found my thread!

It's been about 2 weeks, but since I started I've lost 6.5 pounds by not eating crap. So I'll stick with it. Only 33 pounds more to go.........and two 4k runs this week which is OK
