decided to try low carb as nothing else seems to work.

but what do you actually eat, i would like to try it for a couple of days to see if I can get on with it before buying a book, which diet would people recommend.
so say I had 2 poached eggs for breakfast, which is pretty much what I have every day anyway.
what for lunch and what for tea, any salad allowed or not, can I have black coffee, tea with milk in? what about cheese? basicaclly culd you tell me what you eat in a day, I am going to the shop in a minute to get supplies.
How much weight could I realisitically expect to lose in 2 months?

Hiya, am like you - dipping in and out.
Tea and coffee -d rink with single cream as lower carb than milk
Lunch and dinner - chicken/tuna/prawn salad - inc prawn cocktail
drink lots and lots of water
I eat loads of cheese, if you are doing it properly (atkins) there is a limit, think its 4 oz daily of full fat cheese
steer clear of potatoes, parsnips etc
The quickest I've ever lost weight was when I did it with no booze or fizzy drinks whatsoever
You will feel better if you drink more water than anything else you do!
Smile

Meant to say, if you do it properly, you will feel pretty sluggish for a few days but after that the weight will fall off its very rewarding x
