I've been pretending to myself that I'm on a low carb diet for the last three weeks. But I start every day with cereal, have pasta a few times a week, wine and the odd bag of crisps. Still, I've managed to lose 6lb. The one thing I haven't touched even once is bread. Was chatting to someone today who told me he'd lost 35lb in the last 6 months just by cutting out bread from his diet. And he's not fat.
Is bread a massive weight gain trigger? Is it the yeast? I feel much better for not touching it, and best of all I haven't had any carb cravings or that horrible insatiable snacking that normally happens in the evening. It just hasn't occurred to me to think about food.
Just wondered if anyone knows much about bread and it's part in overeating.
