I have spent the last few weeks saying "i must go on a diet, i must go on a diet" all the time helping the dds chip away at the case of Penguin bars i got cheaply!

Now this morning i get up to throw some jeans on before the Tesco delivery arrives and i can only just do them up....they are a size 14 and i am busting out of them.

I can put this off no longer so am armed with my cook book although i'll probably never use the thing and just live on chunks of cheese and chicken breasts and am about to embark on the Atkins diet - anyone else on it and have any tips?

I did it a few years ago and lost a stone very quickly so i know i can do it, i just don't like meat, or eggs or cheese much!!

I don't think I am hardcore enough! Have done lc before but it's such hard work

I know it is, luckily i am a sahm which i think makes it much easier. If you're working it's hard to get something low carb for lunch that's cheap and quick, unless you take a packed lunch.

I have had scrambled egg with cheese for breakfast....i hate scrambled egg but i hate the size of my thighs more so i am going to try my best!

hokeycokey come and join BIWIs bootcamp threads - there are loads of us low-carbing with great success there!

Though, I don't want to be negative but... why've you chosen a diet where you don't like the food? It works well, but it's going to be pretty hard not to cheat, isn't it?!

Anyway, come and join us and maybe we cam give you ideas for food you do like Grin

Why dont you just try lower carbs and cutting out sugar as what I have read and seen these are the culpits of gaining weight. No need to follow any books or plan just plan meals in advance so you can eat fish, veg and salads.
