I think I want a HRM but not sure what they entail!

I like the look if the Polar watches but I keep looking at them and it lOoks like there is a chest strap with it? Do you need both parts for it to work? Is the chest strap restrictive?

Id ideally like one that's just a watch that measures my wrist pulse, is this an actual thing or shall I just give up? I'd like it to do calories calculation too. Do I even have any idea of what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

Hi there, I have had a Polar HRM for many years and I love it. Yes there is a chest strap and a watch, you know you have the chest strap on, but it sits along your under sports bra strap so its not hugely restrictive.

I have one that does calories burnt as well which I find hugely motivational.

I'm not sure if one exists without the chest strap, but would also be interested to know.
