Does anyone have any comments about Curves gym?

I'm not a huge fan of gyms as I get quite bored quite easily, instead preferring to walk and try some bits n bbs at home (strangely tho, this never seems to last).

Anyway, a friend has asked me to join Curves, half price membership for a minimum of 4 months. This I think I could handle.

Has anyone ever been adn would you recommend?

I've been a member for 3 years account frozen currently due to health issues the longest I've ever stuck with a gym! My team are luffly, really supportive and encouraging. There's usually challenges to keep you stimulated and lots of social stuff. They do Zumba twice a week too. Go and have a look round. I do miss having a pool but I think the benefits outweigh the loss of that. When I was well and going regularly - at least three times a week - I was about 15 inches smaller and a stone lighter than when I started :)

My mum and sister are a member of one, it is run by a friend of mine so when I go home for a visit she let's me use it. It uses resistance rather than weights iykwim and they alternate it with cardio so you keep your heart rate up throughout, so is good for weight loss and toning.

I think it's pretty good, don't have one near me though so I've only been a few times.
