Update the spreadsheet here

Here you go - come and 'fess up!

Interesting about the flax - I've been having it every morning in a shake and my weightloss has definitely slowed, but it's hard to tell whether that's flax-related or not... I might knock it out for a week and see if it makes any difference. Thing is, it fills me up so nicely that I can easily get through a day's work on just one flax and protein shake, which is very handy given my usual lack of lunchbreaks/eating opportunities!

Nigella - I never used to eat fatty meat, it made me gag. But have come around to the joys of a crispy chicken skin and, ooooh! PORK BELLY Grin! It's the best! I do still have to almost-cremate my bacon though...

Breast of lamb is another lovely one - although I can't cook it that often as DH and DS2 aren't fond of it. There's a fabulous Simon Hopkinson recipe for it, cooked only with onions. Trouble is, the onions make it very carby - so last time I did it, I used shallots, and I halved the quantity.

Here. It is lush!

Afternoon all, thanks for all your words of encouragement - and well done heartstart!

Feeling more positive today, am going to ditch the flax (shame as it made fab toast, and as tea says was nicely filling). That recipe looks scrummy BIWI, might try that, thanks for the link, fat on lamb I can manage, but pork - urgh. Cremated bacon yes, pork scratchings, and pork in it's many glories for that matter, nope.

So. Foods thus far for the day
B-scrambled egg, SMALL amount butter NO flaxbread
L-green salad with mayo dressing
S- will be meatballs with salad and celeriac & cauli mash
Minute amounts dairy, one coffee & black tea, 2+litres of water so far.

BIWItheBold · 29/05/2012 16:49

It should be LARGE amount of butter, Hep! Although it's dairy, it doesn't count in the same way and you are encouraged to eat it.

yes miss Grin
I'll make up for it in the celeriac/cauli mash I promise!

I've just updated the spreadsheet by carrying forward the weights of those who have not weighed in this week. So our total loss this week is 23.3lbs with a cumulative loss to-date of 589.9lbs.

I might have a play around with the spreadsheet later if no-one has any objections. I was thinking of removing the people who haven't weighed in for the last 3 weeks. I could move them to another sheet of the spreadsheet so the info would still be there and can be re-instated at any time, but at the moment they are just serving to pull our average weight-loss figures down!

BIWItheBold · 30/05/2012 16:01

Good idea, Fiddle

BerylStreep · 30/05/2012 19:47

Still the same from last week.

Fiddle, it might look like I'm one of the ones who hasn't updated, but honest, I have. Blush

Things may not be happening on the scales, but I am getting lots of complements at work.

I suspect I might lose more if I cut out wine completely, and reduced my diary, but I love cream and cheese. And wine.

BIWItheBold · 30/05/2012 21:20

Beryl - if you're happy with the rate you're losing weight, and enjoying your food - then stick with it! It's your choice to eat that way. And you can always get stricter if you want to lose more quickly.

OP posts:
doradoo · 31/05/2012 06:17

Beryl - you and me both.

Very slow weight loss here - overall about 5lbs down in 6 weeks - but 3.5" off my waist and clothes feel better.

500g down this morning though so can't complain - and barring a random blip a couple of weeks ago - my lowest weight this year.

I need this to be for life and not a diet so it has to fit round my likes and lifestyle - giving up the wine and nuts is just not an option. The odd pudding too features (only twice since bootcamp began) but just sometimes I need it. Still am not wanting / eating bread/pasta - even rice I can do without. I'm also not trying to 'substitute' the carb foods so no pretend rice/flax bread etc - how this will work in the winter I'm not sure -but for now it's great.

Thanks BIWI for keeping us on the straight and narrow and the ongoing motivation/WI threads.

FiddleDeFat · 31/05/2012 17:02

Don't worry Beryl and Doradoo, you're still on the spreadsheet.

I tend to check this thread periodically on Mondays and Tuesdays to make sure the spreadsheet is being updated with the weights posted. Later on Tuesdays I carry forward the weights on the spreadsheet for anyone who has not updated that week. This just allows the formulae in the blue columns to work properly so we can see accurate totals at the bottom. I put these entries in italics and after 3 weeks of not updating, then off the the newly created Archive tab with you!

I've also put a biggest weekly loser and biggest total loser at the bottom of the spreadsheet. This week the biggest loser is switchtvoffdosomelessboring at 5.5lbs lost, and the biggest total loser to date is my lovely, slinky DH at 22.4lbs lost.

Starting weights are now in bold. For those late starters I have had to put in weights for all the dates before they started - this just allows me to keep the formula in the blue columns the same for everyone. And the corresponding gaps in the blue columns just makes sure these extra entries do not affect the average totals.

Please let me know if you spot any errors, or if there are any improvements you want.

FiddleDeFat · 31/05/2012 17:05

Oh, and if anyone wants to be 'unarchived' at any time, just ask.

NigellasGuest · 31/05/2012 18:00

Fiddledefat Thank you so much for doing all that Thanks Smile

BIWItheBold · 31/05/2012 19:03

Wow! I am seriously impressed by your commitment to the cause, Fiddle!
Thanks

Well, you see, MrFiddle is looking so damn fine I've got some renewed enthusiasm this week to try and keep pace with him. It also helps keep me focused to 'organise' others weight loss and take motivation from the numbers.
