Stupid diet/ exercise question

I can't believe I have never thought about this before Blush. Im not even sure how to word my question. I'm not trying to lose weight but don't want to put any on having worked hard to shift 2 stone. So, today I have done no exercise and have eaten a big chocolate muffin and bread I didn't need, went over my calorie limit so to speak. Tomorrow I am doing a 60k 2 hour bike ride in the morning and body pump class after work. Will I burn off todays extra calories or should you only tally up calories and exercise on a daily basis? Does anyone even know what I mean?? For example, if you stuffed your face full for 4 days and ate little for 3 and did loads of exercise would you maintain weight ( not suggesting this as obv v unhealthy but trying to explain what I mean) it's using myfitnesspal daily that made me question this. Thanks for reading stupid question!

1 bad day won't hurt- I'd just do the sport but keep normal calories as punishing yourself will make you wobble Grin

Sorry meant wobble as in give in to high calorie food -not actually wobble Blush

As long as you keep to your allowance the next day all that exercise will do the trick. Even if for the rest of the week you're not exercising cut back slightly fro the rest of teh week as it's the whole week's calories that count not just one day. But tbh, eating one muffin and not exercising will nt make you balloon!

I think if you stuff yourself one day you can eat less the next and not be that hungry. I think as long as you don't go over for week ok to move around eg I maintain with careful all week and more at weekends.
