Here is the spreadsheet

Add your latest weight here and then and crow/moan about it afterwards!

not necessarily otters - i'm up to 10st7 this morning after being 10st4 on monday Grin

hurrah for biwi!

BIWItheBold · 25/05/2012 07:46

Willie - I think you could be right about the processed meats. Try cutting those out for a few days. The amount of salt in those could be causing a bit of fluid retention, so also try upping your water today and tomorrow.

Don't forget that your menstrual cycle also has an effect - don't know if that's a possibility?

BIWI well done! I know you have been desperate to get into the 9's so that's a real milestone for you.

BIWItheBold · 25/05/2012 08:10

It is! The scales showed me this weight almost a month ago - And it has been very frustrating to see things go in the opposite direction ever since. I know that it's been a lot down to me - too much weekend wine drinking - but it also does demonstrate that weight loss is not linear (another IPD mantra). I have come to realise that this seems to be how my body works - a loss of 3lbs or so followed by a period of no change or even a slight increase. However, having Bootcamp has really kep me focused, and following MY mantra KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

I also know that as I

A) get older
B) am menopausal (possibly almost through it - no period since August)
C) get nearer my target (9stone)

that weight loss is likely to be slower

My original target when I started back in February was to lose 2 stones by the end of May. Looks like that last half stone is going to take me a bit longer to shift, as I doubt I can do that in the one remaining week of the month!

But my head is very firmly 'in the zone' and I know I'm making good progress. And ( perhaps) more importantly, I have realised that I have a whole wardrobe of clothes that now fit me!

My ultimate target is to be slim enough to wear a bikini when we go to Barbados on 11 August.

Please, God, that I will have lost the last half a stone by then!

thanks biwi - i'm going to get on top of that next week. would love to get down to 10 by the end of this month but i don't think that's realistic really

i definitely didn't get enough water yesterday, and the hot weather means we should be drinking even more water probably (as someone else suggested on here the other day)!

BIWItheBold · 25/05/2012 08:32

Yes -definitely need to drink more at the moment

Well done, BIWI

I totally understand what you are saying about weight loss not being linear. I was losing 2lb a week every week, then nothing, then 4lb, then 1lb a week for the last few weeks (and eating the same every week - no cheating!) This week I have lost 2lb (40lb down now!) doing exactly the same as I have done every other week Confused

I laughed when I read about you taking your contact lenses out to weigh yourself. I take my very heavy glasses off and put my contacts in before I weigh myself Grin Otherewise I couldn't even see the scales, let alone the numbers!!

DoUntoOtters · 25/05/2012 10:33

Thanks Congratulations, BIWI.

BIWItheBold · 25/05/2012 12:21

Thank you! Must stay focused though. Friday wine could be my undoing ... Grin

Biwi, we both have 11th august as our final target date then. I turn the big 3 0 the next day and really want to start my next decade as a good healthy weight, unlike my twenties when I have gone between 11 and 15 stone (and had one engagement, one wedding, two babies by sections, one divorce and three house moves.......)

Livelongandprosper · 26/05/2012 19:12

Smile BIWI! Into the 9's!

Dare I ask, how did you fare with the Friday wine?

BIWItheBold · 26/05/2012 20:18

Well, I've never given up wine - just restricted it (mainly) to the weekend. And then been very careful to restrict it to max 3 glasses (mostly).

If I'd given it up totally then I would no doubt have lost more weight by now. But I probably wouldn't have stuck to it either. So I feel that this has been a much more realistic and sustainable way of losing weight for me.
