I have UFC Trainer and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 and used both a fair bit (although, to be fair, for general fitness and to complement martial arts training rather than to lose weight).

UFC Trainer I liked the concept of better but its tracking is awful. The amount of times I "failed" an exercise because it wouldn't register properly even though I was doing it correctly drove me up the wall. It also was really inflexible with the "programs" - if you didn't do a day you couldn't change to the subsequent day in the program - and if for some reason you miss a few days (in my case due to an injury) it won't pause the program and just recommends that you start from scratch - really annoying when you're most of the way through a 90 day program. Becomes very demotivating.

Switched to Your Shape and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's like Wii Fit only good. Lots of "games", tracks much better and matters less if it doesn't pick up a movement properly. More flexible with the goals (although that can be a bad thing if you like a bit of nagging with your exercise program). Surprisingly challenging even though it's "gamey".

It's not perfect - I'd like a better program and I didn't like that I had to pay extra for DLC for a cool down routine - that to me is an essential rather than an "extra". The calorie tracking is awful and inconsistent. It's hard to work out how much to do in one session (I now set my own timer and just work through routines until I run out of time). But it does give you a good workout and lots of variety.
