I eat an awful lot of poached eggs.. What are your weight loss staples?

For me, they tick all the boxes: tasty, filling, cheap, protein rich, low fat, easy to make.

What do you eat allmost every day when you're losing weight?

My sister swears by her poachers...and she has a lot of fat free yoghurt and what she calls "vegetable soup" but which is really boiled carrots and onions. Blech.

pulses.....healthy, low in calories, filling.....e.g. lentil soup, chickpea and tomato stew, chickpea salad, kidney bean chilli etc. Pulses are your friend.

Porridge and blueberries with skimmed milk for breakfast.

Eggs. Fish. Chicken. etc....

Boiled eggs here. And carrot sticks for those mid afternoon boredom binges....

Yy to pulses. Chickpeas were our staple when we were losing weight (100lbs between us). Chillies too - as we ate less we had more flavours so it didn't feel so bad.

Treat size bags of chocolate buttons when in need of a chocolate fix. Only 75 calories and quite nice straight from the fridge. Pickled onions or gherkins worked for a savoury fix.

Fruit teas instead of normal tea so no milk.

And eggs. Lots and lots of poached eggs.

Hard boiled eggs.
Raw carrots.
Radishes.
Extra light soft cheese - I've used it instead of butter on a sandwich.
Courgettes - I eat them raw and cooked.
Home made soup.
Adi's prepacked cooked salmon fillets.

Small packets of ham and Nescafe skinny latte sachets.

Good idea about using the cheese as a spread that.

I must find some good pulse recipes. Dhall yes but I've never made a really good one. I guess this is my chance!

Scrambled eggs with fresh tomato chopped up and mixed in for breakfast.

Quick dinner is courgette, shallot and Bacon fried off with an egg over like an omlette.

Love eggs when dieting.
