Is it possible to just buy the slimming world book?

I just really cannot afford to join at the moment. Really want to start a diet and everybody raves about slimming world. I know what I need to do (stop eating shit) but I have no focus

Any ideas?

I have seen them on eBay.

Just got to target after losing 4.5 stone with SW, I certainly recommend it.

How about just going to the first meeting to hear the blurb, look at the other books on offer, and get the actual book? Get the Magazine too - it is very simple, and this would likely be cheaper than ebay. WW is currently doing free joining, free first week, and free recipe book.

ValiumQueen · 12/05/2012 19:07

You need to print off a voucher for WW offers.

Hervana · 12/05/2012 19:08

Oh of course, hasn't even thought of that thank you

Well done you on 4.5 stone, amazing achievement!

My bmi is fine-about 25 I think but I really need to start eating more healthy. I feel a little bloated and think I could do with lOsing say half a stone. Im hoping sw book will help me to focus on what I can eat during a day. My downfall is snacking :)

Sorry cross post there Valium-the books are
About £20 On eBay. It's £60 to join online for three months (which I really can't afford)

How much does it cost to join? Where can I print vouchers too? Thank you :)

Sorry for all the Qs it's just I was under the impression that you have to sign up for a long time at weekly meetings-only allowed
Six weeks holiday etc etc

This would be difficult to maintain both in terms of cost but also childcare

Slimming World is half price to join, so £9.95 in total. No obligation to ever go again. You can get a Magazine there too cheaper than in the shops.

WW voucher for free recipe book was from an app on DHs I-phone, so cannot help you there. Basic free voucher can be downloaded by following the first link.

Good luck, although I think all you need to do is swap any unhealthy snacks for fruit, and increase your exercise a bit and you would be at target in no time! As you say, you know what to do! How about popping over to the Paul McKenna thread? That would help with your self control Grin

Hervana · 12/05/2012 22:11
