Hello all, hope someone can help me!

I am at a bit of a standoff with myself as I am the heaviest I have been (apart from while pregnant) and am fed up.

I started Shredding and calorie counting only to discover that I was actually gaining weight :( so stopped that and have reached a plateau of about 154lbs (height is 5'4 ish) so am very heavy.

Quitting smoking and wanting to change the way I eat/live because I am sick of the sight of myself in the mirror.

Am a size 12(ish) but carry all my weight on my stomach, my legs are pretty solid (thank you years of horseriding) and as soon as I do any exercise my calves and thighs tone really quickly - I just wish my jelly belly would do the same!

Please someone help me - I need to lose about 2 stone to be happy - what can I do?

Hi
I am a yo-yo dieter and can relate to this - I have just started what I am deteremined to be the last diet I ever go on - to lose my fat bellly and chunky thighs for good(!)
It might sound obvious but have you tried WeightWatchers or Slimming World or any of the diet classes? I have done WW several times and you do lose weight on their programme, and I know others who swear by SW - sometimes finding a new way of eating helps to focus people. I am currently doing a low carb diet - finding it ok so far (have also done Atkins/Dukan in the past but found them too strict)
