Going for 40lb off for reaching 40 - anyone want to join me?

Namechange regular because I don't want certain family/friends asking me sympathetically how I am doing!

OK - I hit 40 at the end of the year and I am about 2.5 - 3 stone heavier than I was 3 years ago. I don't want to hit 40 and look at pictures of a miserable, embarrassed, (drunk) beached whale.

I want to embrace my age looking fitter, more fabulous and most importantly, happy.

I know that losing 40lb in 8 months (34 weeks) is going to be really tough and I want this to be sensible so I won't beat myself up if I am not quite there by December.

However, I just feel so much better about myself when I am exercising and being sensible about what I eat and drink and so I want to give myself a big goal.

This isn't about being super slim because my target weight will still make me a size 14. It is about taking back control and feeling good.

I do think that aiming for 1-2lb a week is doable, though, if I change the way I approach food and drink.

Does anyone want to join me??

I don't have time to lose 40 before 40 (only 10 weeks to go), but feel so miserable about being overweight that I'm going to lose 40 in my 40 th year IYSWIM. Reckon Christmas is a good deadline.

What's shredding?????
