Can I take Adios max with Thyroxine?

I am trying to lose alot if weight, 3 1/2 stone, with out luck. I have been diagnosed with under active thyroid since the birth of dc2 almost 5 years ago, had dc3 14 mnths ago. Just brought some Adios Max and it says not to take whilst you have a thyroid disorder, has any one taken it anyway? I'm tempted too. After being over weight for so long I'm well and truly fed up and NEED to lose it!

Ment to add that I'm only on 75mg Thyroxine.

If it specifically says don't, then I definitely wouldn't. I don't know what's in Adios but I wouldn't risk it interfering with the thyroxine.

Then again, tbh, I don't think those diet pill things work anyhow. And calorie-counting is increasingly shown being shown as an ineffective way to lose weight and keep it off (especially if you drink lots of diet coke!). Have you considered a low-carbohydrate diet instead?

Forget the adios max. I wouldn't risk it (I take thyroxine and wouldn't risk it).

When was your last blood test to make sure thyroxine dose is right - getting your TSH to around 1-2 (optimal level) would be much more effective than taking adios - which speeds up metabolism, like thyroxine.

Only thyroxine more effective!

If your GP isn't helpful, explain that you want to lose weight and that you'd like your tsh to be at optimum levels.
