Am I doing something wrong or does it take more time?

I am following the myfitnesspal plan in that it has told me I can eat 1200 calories a day and I note what I have eaten and drunk. It has taken me a couple of days to realise the 1200 factors in that I want to lose weight so have eaten 100 ish less than that each day for 3 days but now I am trying to eat the 1200 and I am drinking a lot of water. Have had 5 beakers so far today. But, after Friday, Sat, Sun and Mon I haven't lost any weight at all. I am so disappointed as I have really tried and have completely upped my fruit, veg and water intake.

You're expecting results too quickly. Your weight will naturally fluctuate in the week so you need to be weighing yourself once a week only. If possible weigh yourself at the same time of day each time as well to take into account fluctuations in weight throughout the day.
You will probably only lose 1-2 pounds a week but it is better to lose weight in a slow sustainable way than to starve yourself and loose weight quickly but pile it back on again later.
Keep at it and good luck :)

Takes longer than 3 days, give it 2-3 weeks and don't go mad with the fruit, stick to 2 pieces of fruit a day.

I decided I would weigh myself as I felt slimmer and I have lost a pound. I am very happy with that. I have discovered I have been drinking double the water I am meant too so that is embarrassing. No wonder I am going to the loo so many more times than usual.

If you try to stick to an unrealistic cal. counting diet it's bound to fail IMO. Why not come onto our completely doable sensible Paul Mckenna way of eating thread I've lost my target 3 stone on it and am maintaining; it re educates the body with NO cal. counting, syns, crap low fat food or humiliating weighing- in etc. Also we're kind!!! Smile

I did try that. I failed Blush 1-2lbs maybe? I just have such ingrained food issues I am not sure I will ever do it.
