30 day shred struggles

So, started the 30 day shred 7 days ago.

I have got a tad stronger and my bum is a bit tighter, but I am still struggling with the cardio. I find that first carido 2 mins almost impossible and am struggling more now than I was on day 1.

I'm sort of on a Low GI diet too and have been for around a month, but I've lost no weight, not any inches, which is quite discouraging.

Did any one else struggle or am I just not working hard enough?

Keep going. I didn't lose any weight but did lose inches. How many times have you done it in those 7 days?

I reckon it was a good 10 days before I really noticed a difference.

Are you really working hard? Shred works largely on the assumption that you are working really hard for 18 minutes. If you were able to do the full sets of reps without shaking like a leaf at the end when you first started it might be with upping your weights.

Cardio will come, make sure you have a ret day soon if you haven't had one - you will fid your cardio much improved the first day exercising after a rest day (well, I do anyway).

Thanks for this.
Done 7 days solid but will take a rest day Sunday.

I am currently using only small water bottles as weights but will go for bigger ones next week; the 2lb ones are beyond me right now.

I have got a bit of a cold at the moment so wonder if that's not helping my cardio but I am very unfit.

Good to know that maybe by the end of next week I might show some results - it's my Buddha belly I want to shift some flab from more than anywhere else.
