I have no idea where to start but I need to try and get fit and healthy (I have asthma) and start exercising. Me being me I start all keen by doing too much and then give up within days. I need to start slow so that it is keep upable. Losing weight is also a necessity Blush. I tried looking on line but got a bit overwhelmed with it all.

Don't worry about exercise for now.

Look at what you eat, suggest myfitnesspal log your food with aim of eating at least 100g of protein a day 9start with 75g and increase gradually) and not more than 100g (start with 150g, reduce gradually to 100g) of carbs. Plus stick to calories limits.

Thank you. Will it say how many calories I need a day to lose weight?

So far I have had scrambled eggs for breakfast - no bread/toast. A pear. 2 slices of granary bread and some roast chicken. Water.

Eat more vegetables! 2 pieces of fruit a day is enough. Your carbs should come from fruit, veg and dairy ideally rather than bread (although granary bread better than white bread). Scrambled eggs great breakfast. And drink gallons of water.

I aim for 1200 calories a day but if you are very overweight start with more, eg 100 calories for each extra stone.

I have had home made soup for dinner and that had sweet potato, parsnip, celery and leek in it so lots of veg in it and just the one slice of granary bread.
