Volumetrics Anyone?

So in January 2010, I weighed 135 and had 25% body fat.

I now weight 146 and have 35% body fat.

So I read the Volumetrics book by Barbara Rolls, and it's amazing!! It's all about eating more food for less calories.... just what I need because I hate feeling hungry! I bit the bullet, too and joined the gym... paid for 6 months upfront.. eek!

So I've been to the gym everyday this week and have lost a pound... but I've not been hungry! Really pleased! I just need a bit of motivation and support, as the kids go back to school next week and I go back to placement.

My aim is to be down to 9 stone dead (126 pounds) and lose three inches from my waist...

What are you eating then?

I am trying to shift 12lbs (very exact) and am eating nothing - well almost nothing - loads of chuffing salad which SO doesn't count.

I'm eating things like 200g of grapes for a snack,
for my breakfast I'm eating 30g granola, a muller pot and an apple or pear chopped up... it's really tasty and keeps me going for ages.
For lunch, I'm eating volumetrics soup or pasta or salad... so loads of fruit and veg to bulk it up, so I can have loads, but it's not a lot of calories.
And then for tea, I'm having either a volumetrics pizza with salad, or a small jacket potato with salad, or volumetrics chicken pot pie... all very tasty and because the serving sizes are so huge, I'm full for like ages... and I'm coming in at about 1400 calories per day... I do eat more snacks though if I go to the gym... maybe 100-150 calories each...
I'm well impressed... and I don't mind if I lose 1 pound a week... it's better than putting weight on... and at a pound per week, I'll be able to fit into the dress I want to wear to a summer ball in July. =-D
I just need to keep at it.... which, for me, is the hardest part.

Sounds interesting, can you give some more details?

What is " a volumetrics pizza " ? Does volumetrics refer to the recipe or bought from a range?

It refers to the recipe... so a pizza made with a homemade sauce (tomatoes are low in calories) and loaded with low density vegetables... so instead of only being able to have 5/6 of a slice of store bought or shop made pizza for like 350 calories, you can have a quarter of a whole pizza (not just the slice) for the same amount of calories... and it's tasty too!!
I would highly recommend having a read of her book... the author's name is Barbara Rolls.
