Can anybody please talk me through new WW points programme?

I did WW about a year and a half ago and lost about 11lb over about 8 weeks. I found it hard though and the first two weeks I was soooo hungry.

Anyway, I then got pregnant (yeh!) and put on loads of weight (boo!). I have to lose some weight for my brother's wedding in June to wear a lovely dress I already have and thought I'd just do my WW points thing at home. A friend is doing it properly and says it is so much easier with the the new points thing so maybe I should sign up properly. Thing is I am breastfeeding, (DD2 will start solids in May but I will carry on breastfeeding) am always hungry and have a dreadful sweet tooth that I never had before, I am crazy for chocolate now.

So, how does it work? Will I be hungry? How do I manage the chocolate cravings?
Thanks

After a chocolate filled Easter Sunday, I'm probably not the best person to advise but here goes!

I too did the old system a few years ago & def prefer Propoints. The principles are pretty much the same, as in most foods have a points value. However, all the values have changed - increased in most cases - but the no of points you get increased too. Fruit is now free though, & in addition to your daily points you get 49 points to spend as you like during the week. You can use 7 every day if you want, or use all 49 in one go. You should use your daily points each day & can't carry them over.

Think that's it in a nutshell. The free fruit & weekly points are great for me & ensure I stay on track - most of the time Grin

Thanks littledolly i would have asked friend but more of an acquaintance and haven't bumped into her of late.
Fruit being free is just fantastic, bananas were my saviour last time.
The bonus points is great too, chocolate and wine (once not BF)
How many points do you get a day then?

I get 29 a day but everyone is different. I'm pretty sure the lowest daily points allowance is 26. It's not as easy to work out your points allowance now as it was before, but your leader will tell you how many you get when you sign up.

You get extra points for breastfeeding, you can choose full feeding or feeding a baby also on solids. I spend all those points on choc, but try not to spend more than that.
