So I promised myself after my second baby I would get rid of the weight mire quickly. I made no effort after my son as I knew I would put it all back on when pregnant......which I did.
So my precious girl is 4 days old and I am committing to losing the weight by february 2012. Giving myself a bit of slack for next 3 weeks as have had a section so cannot exercise for 6 weeks but after that.....the hard work begins.

I am 37 pounds above starting weight for this pregnancy but I want 50 off to takeme to previous fighting weight. So 50 pounds Is going in 10 months.
Come join me if you want to join in......as new mums I don't expect to be able to post regularly but we may be able to understand the issues that cause you to eat more than you burn off .....tired eating and sugar craving in the afternoon and breast feeding cravings for me.

Hello I would love to join you. My son is 16 months now and I still havent started trying to shift the weight. Now though I'm getting married in sept 2014 so got a great incentive now. I'm hoping to start on tuesday as I no the temptation of choclate this weekend would be to much im currently 14st 1lb currently and want to loose about 2 1/2 stone over the next two years.

Great kaylouise.let,s do it.
I am still recovering from surgery and mean to kind of really get the ball rolling two weeks from now when hubby returns to work but I am being really mindful of trying not to eat bad stuff in the meantime.....hard as husband keeps offering biscuits, hot chocolate and coke........I have declined all......
So starting with cutting out as nuch reifined rubbish as i can, drinking more water, healthy foods but think portion control and serious exercise is going to be required once I am cleared to exercise....let,s encourage each other kaylouise and anyone else that wants to get that baby weight off .......

I know what you mean my partner is a great cook but has no idea how to cook for just us so portion sizes are massive, thats going to be the first thing I focus on. He also loves makking desserts so I guess thats were the will power will have to come in x

Yes will power is my failing and the fact that I just do not look at my body enough to find it distressing carrying extra weight........I got back within14 pounds of my slim weight last time without making any changes but I do not want to carry an extra stone this time......so I will have to put some effort in.
On the oatmeal for breakfast...no milk, no sugar and it keeps me going with no snacks till lunch....but so hungry by 1 pm for lunch. Breast feeding makes me so ravenous but I eat more than I need...it is only 3 to 400 calories extra you need which is bugger all really.......a bigger serving of pasta at one meal I guess.
Think it fruitless to start till husband returns from pat leave in two weeks as he keeps buying goodies to reward us for having a baby........and I deserve some sweet treats surly in these first weeks post birth 8 day baby on my lap as I type.
What is your aim Kay Louise?

Oh just seen your target.....that sounds reasonable to me in that time frame.a wedding is a great focus.
As soon as I can exercise....5 more weeks I am going to get down the gym even if only once a week and walk as much as I can. I am giving myself 10 months to shift 50 pounds. That should be do able with graft and denial.
