Good, reliable scales?

Hi all,

Recent thread on here has led me to conclude that my scales are knackered (old and rattling about a bit inside, giving variable readings even on a hard tiled floor) so I need to buy new ones.

Can anyone recommend some new scales? And are these body fat measurement ones a) reliable, b) easy to use and c) useful for doing anything other than inducing depression??
TIA

I like Salter ones and i think the fat measuring ones are a bit gimmicky.

Really, though, any scales will do providing you use only them and don't hop on and off other scales.

I love my tanita body fat ones!

They are:

a) totally reliable
b) easy to use - need bare feet though
c) do not induce depression as often if you don't lose weight see fat % going down

thank you both for your suggestions!

ok - looking at all these different types of scales is giving me a headache.

wtf is the actual difference between them all?! Confused

shine and forever would you mind linking to the models you are using, or similar?

Hi forever thanks for the link! I checked out Which? and the weight watchers body analysis scales came out well too, alongside the Tanita, and given that they are cheaper i may well go for those
(dp can't see the point of spending ££ on scales - he'll probably grump at the thought of me spending £30 never mind £50+!) Grin

I can't read what the scales say. Despite having my eyes lasered! What scales shows the weight in large lettering (numberingConfused)
