Weight loss chat

A space to talk openly about weight loss journeys and challenges. Mumsnet hasn't checked the qualifications of anyone posting here. You may wish to speak to a medical professional before starting any diet.

I have been approached about becoming a weightwatchers leader, is anyone one, or has been for the training etc?

I am a bit nervous about ringing the area leader person back until I feel I have more information about it Blush

I lost 52 lb in 52 weeks on it last year and have managed to keep it off though up and down a 1lb occasionally since the first week in January, but still within goal

Oh wow, I don't know anything about WW at all but I have to say well done on both the loss and the maintenance- I'm mid-loss, and am dreading maintenance!

It's actually okay the maintenance part of it, it's just an ongoing thing but without the nice feeling of having 'lost' every week iykwim. i have reevaluated this last week though and thought about what other goals to set myself and I think it's going to be to tone up a bit more, so doing more toning exercise as part of my daily routine.

I found mid loss hard tbh as you feel so great having lost but then feel like you still have a mountain to climb, well if you have as much to lose as i had :o . i felt I had to remind myself of how much I had lost in order to loose more otherwise it felt like a much bigger task.

Well don sarf, keep going :)

Thanks, yes hopefully I'll keep setting myself goals too- I'd love to be able to do a 5k or something like that! I've lost in total 9st !! over the last 10 years, dropping some then going up etc but never on a real diet. I've lost 3st on my current diet, and still have 3-4st to go! So maintenance is a way away, but good to plan :D
