I had a big plate of veg for dinner tonight and an hour later i had very bad back pain, stomach pain, chest pain and was shivering.
I get the same symptoms when eating bananas so i had to give them up a few years ago.
I also have had the same reaction in the past when taking co codamol except with the co codamol i get the sweats rather than the shivers.
With the co codamol i also get the shakes and have to lie down.
With the bananas and veg its just the intense pain in the back stomach and chest. I had my gall bladder removed in 2003. The pain of gallstones prior to that was excrutiating. I got gallstones the first time i did the SW plan in 2002.The pain is similar to that but on a smaller scale. It makes it really bloody hard to eat healthily. Im still in fucking pain right now.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

A bigt plate of veg can be a meal on almost any diet, not just SW- given the amount of people of diets at any one time and not getting that pain, I think it's best to see GP soon as possible. May be a bad reaction to one veg, to something in one of the veg, I don't know but see dr and all the best to you, hope you get it sorted.

See your doctor asap but in the meantime try and isolate it - eg have just broccoli one night, just courgettes another
