Burning fat through aerobic exercise and being careful with your diet is the most fundamental thing. Apparently no amount of sit-ups etc will have any effect if your abs are hidden under a layer of fat. So it looks as if you're on the right track.

My stomach looks very well toned after eight weeks of swimming (twice a week). I swim non-stop for 40 mins at a moderate to fast pace. Holding in stomach muscles as I swim...seems to be doing a brilliant job!

I also do brisk walking when I can throughout the week, and Davina McCall's 'High Energy Five' DVD once to twice each week (doing the boxing workout). Will keep going with this until I lose my last stone of weight.

Good luck but you seem to be doing great already!:)

Thanks i do 40 mins non stop and am a fairly fast swimmer so at least thats ok , i will try holding my stomach in as i don't think i do that .
I do an hour in the gym twice a week and also try and walk to school etc , i think i just need to keep on going and eat healthy food that's only what they do on these slimming plans anyway isn't it?
I think sometimes i get off track because going swimming /gym is based around childcare so if grans ill i miss then husband brings a takeaway home etc.
I'm ready to start afresh tomorrow now and am sure i can do it ,thanks for your wise words , it's just so flaming hard sometimes!
