Need to stop dancing in random manner to non-stop hits on tv and buy a fun dance dvd to help me get fitter - any recommendations?

I need to get rid of my serious jelly belly and tone up! I'm in my forties and feel frumpy. I need a good fit bod and lose about 6lbs by summer-is this achievable? I need good motivation to keep fit and seeings i love dancing (even though kids laugh at my attempts) a good dance dvd with easy to remember (brain cells can't cope as well in my old age!) dance moves would be a good start me thinks. Any ideas please? Oh and any diet tips would be really helpful :o

Hi MTLTT,

I'm in my 40s too and need to lose 1 to 1.5 stone, I have the flabby belly too and I hate exercise. The only exercise I do is walk the dog and that not often enough.

I like dancing and have been looking for a dance exercise dvd too that I'd enjoy, preferably with 80s or rock or pop music but can't find any good ones. Hopefully someone else will come along with some suggestions.

I think Coleen Nolan might have done something like that but the reviews I read weren't too good.

let me know if you find something good. :)

Will do karen3w!

I love 80s music too but have found that the more modern songs are the best to dance to. I'm loving the song by Flo Rider, 'I get a good feeling' - guaranteed to get me dancing randomly all round the house!!

Btw, I'm cutting down on snacks to start with (late night eating is my downfall I think) and cutting down on fatty food but I need to source a proper diet in order to lose my weight. Have you started one?

c nolan one is a bit slow. Did just dance 2 on the wii today with dc, was quite fun and very excersiey (ds got a bit competitive though) only useful if you have a wii and I wouldnt buy one for purpose of exercise (which is why i got one and its largely unused!).
